Woodland Creation
If you have land you're considering planting, current grant support makes new woodland creation effectively free, and pays for ongoing maintenance for fifteen years after planting.
We design the woodland, apply for the grants, and manage the planting. Capital costs of up to £10,200 per hectare are covered as standard, with additional one-off payments available depending on your location and land type. Annual maintenance payments of £400 per hectare follow for fifteen years.
We design woodlands that work for your land: native broadleaf, mixed productive woodland, or agroforestry systems that keep farming and trees running alongside each other.
New woodland creation attracts additional one-off payments based on your location and woodland design, covering public benefits like nature recovery, flood risk, and water quality. These can be stacked and paid as a lump sum, up to £11,600 per hectare.
