Woodland Management

Most woodland in England is underperforming. Planted decades ago and left alone, it's quietly losing value, becoming structurally weak, vulnerable to disease, and harder to fix the longer it's ignored.

We'll visit your site, assess what you have, and write a ten-year management plan that sets out exactly what your woodland can become. The plan is funded by a government grant. It costs you nothing, and there's no obligation to go further.

If you decide to proceed, we apply for a ten-year Countryside Stewardship agreement that funds ongoing management, and can cover 100% of the costs over a 10-year period. We can deliver the work ourselves, or support you to do it.

What good management produces: higher-value timber, natural regeneration, shelter for livestock, and a woodland that's worth significantly more than when you started.

The first step, a woodland management plan, is fully grant-funded. No upfront cost, no obligation.

LSH Forestry is able to offer most landowners a Woodland Management Plan at no cost.
